Italy is involved in the non-international armed conflict against the Islamic State group by providing military support to the coalition airstrikes in Syria. Due to the lack of Syrian consent, Italy is also involved in an international armed conflict against Syria.
Italy is currently involved in a series of armed conflicts:
- Italy is part to the US-led coalition, which was created in September 2014 to fight against the Islamic State. It is currently formed by 83 members, in particular the US, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Jordan, Morocco, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the UAE, and the UK.
